marriage as a commitment, for me.
Most people would see marriage as a way out of life that was/is impose to them. What they don’t know is marriage is a lifetime commitment where there is no turning back when things get worst and there is a sudden change of life.
I’ve never been married nor had a chance to be almost there walking down the aisle, but for me marriage is something that two people should work out when worst came to worst. I may be too idealistic when it comes to this topic, but when partners said “i do” and had promised and vowed “for the better and for worse” it means alot and especially the last part “til death do we part.”
Why do jump into marrying someone you’re not sure of? There are alot of reasons why people get married. Either they are force to do so, or they got pregnant, or they just have to. None of these are the right reason to be married. Infact, people would always say that there is this feeling when you know that he or she is the right person that you wanna spend the rest of your life with. It is felt in the heart and you know for the fact that by just seeing the and meeting the person that indeed it’s her/him that you wanna spend the rest of your life with.
I’ve seen movies and read novels of failed relationships that is unrequited. Thus, stories that had survive throughout the struggle of just being in a relationship, long distance love affairs, old and young people who decided to be together. All types of marriages and relationships, but the question of why others can survive and others can’t still remain as a question to me.
I’ve always dreamed of being married for years and just the two of us, sharing the sorrows and pain, the ups and downs, the happiness and the tears. But until i get to feel the ‘feeling’ what they said, i will get the chance to continue this . . .
