My Valentine [february 14, 2012]
Valentines day for me is just an ordinary day. I don't get excited to it like everyone else. I'm not bitter. I am hopeless romantic. I just don't see any reason why hearts day could only be celebrated during this day. For me, valentines like, christmas, should be celebrated everyday. And valentines, is not only for those who have partners -- like boyfriend, wife, husband, girlfriend, it should be celebrated by everyone else. Celebrate it in the sense that be thankful that someone loves you from the bottom of their hearts. Well, its just how I see it.
When, i was in elementary and high school I've long for a ONE person to have at least a date with him or at least see him during valentines day. But i always failed. Until he transferred to cebu to continue his studies.
Today, my students and I are on our way to Bobon to get the Filipiniana Gown of Ms. Northern Samar. We were riding in a tricycle owned by my student. My nephew Tomas was in my lap and my students are in their own seats. While were are nearing the municipal building of Catarman, my student had over take a a motocycle driven by a man. Out of the blue and curious who could it be, I turned my head to see who was driving the motorcycle and to my SURPRISE it was HIM!!! And out of nowhere I SCREAMED and pinch my students shoulder and all of them were shocked asked me what happened. I just laughed and told them, "nothing... and i just saw my crush"
After 17 years of longing to see him during this day, I finally saw him. Unexpected. Unplanned. and just Out of nowhere. It was something strange to me, as he is not base here in our province. He is based in manila with his family. YES! He is married!!!
