Books For Keeps

Reading had been a passion to me since elementary. Though I don’t really read like everybody else, but I do make some time to read. Sometimes it would take a month before I could finish a book. There are also times where I don’t sleep and just read the book until I could finish it.

Whenever i’m in the city, i never failed to visit bookstores and stay for hours and hours and decide what kind of book to buy. I would always thought that “i wish i’m rich and can be able to buy all the books i want to.” But sad to say i am not, though i spent an amount of money hoarding books. It still puts a smile in my face. Because i know books is always a treasure.. and i could never regret buying them.

Even if new technologies for reading came, like – ipad and kindle. I still choose to buy books. I love the smell of the books. I could just stare and smell the book for hours before i could start reading it. I like to hold a book. I like to flip the pages of the book. I like the real thing!

My short escape last week, made me hoard again for books. This time, i bought a lot of books for my nephew who is in the province right now. I just can’t afford the books in my age, coz a thousand will just give like 2 books. Since i can’t resist, I still bought like 3  books for me. Ahahahaha! It funny how it made me return the book on the shelf and came back taking it with me, then putting it  back. Its a No No choice always.

My new books will sustain me for 2 months. And i could not wait til I’m able to visit bookstore again. Whew!!
