Experimental Cooking. . .
I admit that i’m not a good cook myself. I hate cooking. . and i’d rather wash the dishes than cook something, but that doesn’t mean i don’t know how to cook. I know how but i just don’t the mentioned activity. Like teaching, cooking should be a passion of one’s self. Because if it is not your passion, it will never taste as good as it should be.
But since my mother is busy doing the accreditation work, i started experimenting and cooking for our – brenfred, jaci and me, food.
Today is one of those days that mother is not home, and i have to do my own cooking since mader ondette’s adobo were almost wiped out of jay and bren. My favourite thing to cook is – porkchop. So i cut the meat in to porkchop cut but was hesitant if im doing the right cut or was it the other way around.
I mixed the meat with salt and put some kalamansi, so it will be marinated and will have a good after taste. Since, i’m afraid of oil and frying. . i opted using the turbo broiler. The turbo broiler can get the fatty oil of the meat too, that is also another reason why i used it. Before putting it in the turbo broiler, i put some seasoning to some of the meat just to have variation after it was cooked.
Cooked the pork chop for 30 minutes in turbo broiler. Flipped it every now and then so i know both sides were rightly cooked. Then, after cooking it in turbo broiler, i put it in the over to be baked and have more after taste. I was not really sure if it will taste good if i’m doing right, but jaci said it smells good. Well, for the seasoning it really smells good.
Then, came dinner. And WHOALA!! Jaci and bren love what i did. That was the good thing about it. . the bad thing about it is I GOT TIRED doing all the process of making it more perfect as it seemed. Ahahaha =)
Next time, i have to do another viand and experiment again.
