my unforgettable journey to the city of smile
It was fun, of course coz its my first time to travel from Dumaguete to Bacolod as i'm used to travelling by land from UEP,Catarman N. Samar to Cebu.
So this is how what happened to my journey to city of smile:
i took was the loong way, yes, unfortunately. I took a Mega taxi from UEP, Catarman to Tacloban City for 6hours, waited for two hours before i continue my journey from Tacoloban City to Ormoc City, another 2 hours in a mega taxi. When i reached Ormoc, i opte to take the Supercat [a fast craft]. so i waited for a hour before it called for boarding. Another 2 hours for Ormoc city to Cebu city. I thought there was a Supercat from Cebu to Dumaguete, but i was wrong. So i headed to the South Cebu Terminal from Pier 4 in Cebu, to take Ceres bus to bato for anothe 3 and a half hours, from their i had another 30 minutes fast craft ride that docks in sibulan, negros oriental port. I went to stay in Dumaguete for the night.
The next day, i contnued my journey to Bacolod. But to my dismay, i got in the wrong bus :-( well, it happens for first timers. Instead of taking the short way to get to bacolod, i took the long way that cost me 10hours of bumping and riding the Ceres Non aircon bus. Nontheless, i tried to enjoy the scenes, the haciendas and the fresh air that the island of negros gives to the travellers. When the bus conductor told me that i'm talking the long route, i never even have second thoughts of staying as i'm too tired to just go down the bus, and i thought "this would be a great adventure." I knew i'm gonna enjoy it, whether its a long or short route, as i'm only thinking of seeing the whole negros island in my own very eyes.
I had indeed a very grande tour of the whole negros island -- travelling from negros oriental to negros occidental. it may seem a very long way and i know your butt hurts by just reading it, but all in all, I ENJOYED IT as much as I WANTED TO GO BACK THERE :-)
how many hours did you think i travelled? ahahaha *wink*
