meeting the BAI BOTTLES THE SEMINORMAL peepz

the Basic Museology Training

After being away from museum work, here I am again leading the same path that I want to take 7 years ago. Just recently i was invited to attend the 2nd General Assembly for those who had Basic Museology Trainings that was sponsored by the National Museum. Of course i didn’t have second thoughts of confirming that i will show up because i miss the people from museum, but at the same time excited to be in Bacolod, where the assembly is going to held.

I tried to contact the people i had gone with trainings in the museum, but to no avail, they are not attending. I wish they do as i miss hanging out with them. But some is not connected in the museum anymore, and others are not out of the country. Sad but i still have to show up in Bacolod.

As days are approaching, I’m a bit excited and at the same time nervous thinking that i don’t know anyone except the people from National Museum.

The day come and i was right... i was alone [at first] from our batch, till ate Leslie [from GSIS] showed up. THANK GOD! But what I like about NM trainings/seminars/Assembly is they never let anyone feel alone, they always make sure everybody who are present in the room is able to mingle, gain new friends, enjoy each minute of it.

I’m glad that i was able to gain friends like tita bobby – who is a retired employee from United Nations in New York, and she now the President of Bahay Nakpil located in Quiapo area. She is actually the great grand daughter of one of the Katipuneras who fought for the Philippine Independence. She’s nice and very soft spoken... and never a dull moment with her.

Then, there is Charlie the chocolate hills, it was actually the bubbly Dianne who name him “Charlie the chocolate hills” because he is literally from Bohol. And is working on National Museum – Bohol Branch.

Germs, who at first sat next to me in the table where I was seated. Rai whom the only person i knew, introduced me to her. She’s funny, and will just laugh and laugh and laugh whenever you’re around with her. Never a dull moment. Who is from Nueva Vizcaya [i wish i’m right] and is a Computer Engineering major turned to be working in a museum – Science Centrum.

The bubbly Dianne, who i never expect to be close with her too. Another, funny and witty gal who is working at Malacanang museum. She never stop talking and she always jokes alot. She who lost her baggage from the CP flight from manila... whom sir mel would joke about being raped coz she looks gloomy when she arrived at BK.

Momma Sharene, a pretty lady, who sleeps the whole afternoon and forgets that we still have a session.
